Food Pantry.. It’s open Monday-Thursday (9:00-noon).
Here’s the sign and front door of Pineville Neighbors. They are located in a shopping center on North Polk St. They can help with the following services but you must you live in Pineville or have kids in Sterling Elementary school . Be advised they are in the very back of the shopping center in the third row of shops.
- They provide non-perishable goods, frozen meats, and some dairy products
- Have hygiene, over-the-counter medicines, baby products and household items
- Partner with Nourish Up to provide additional support as needed and communicate pop up events for food distribution.
Mobile Pantry.. They have a pantry that goes to Sterling Elementary to provide..
- Provide fresh produce, non-perishables, meat, and dairy products to families at Sterling Elementary school
- Clients with school-aged children are connected with CMS to receive meal assistance during the summer
- Work with faith-based partners to provide meals during holidays
Financial Help.. They provide direct and indirect financial aid in these ways.
- Work with neighbors in financial crisis to keep them stably housed and utilities turned on.
- They help people who are staying in extended stay hotels or are homeless because they can’t qualify for even basic housing.
- They work with partner agencies to enable these neighbors to move to stable housing.
- Help eliminate financial insecurity
- Enable economic mobility.
- Offer budget classes where the participants set their own goals, evaluate their income & expenses, and develop a budget
- Subsequent classes provide accountability and support as they work towards their goals
- Connect neighbors with our partners that can help solve credit history issues and dive deeper into financial counseling
- Work with our local businesses to find better paying and fulfilling careers:
- Connect neighbors to resources that can prepare them to apply and interview for jobs
- Publicize career fairs
