These agencies are in a class by themselves. To be considered for P.S.H. an individual must have a severe disability and considered to be at risk of dying if left on the street. That disability could be physical, a severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) or substance addiction. Most of these places will not let you just walk up and request entry into their program; you MUST have a coordinated entry assessment done to validate your vulnerability based on the above criteria. Someone from C.E. will contact you after a couple weeks and refer you if there’s an opening. Roof Above also does a good job of explaining their PSH program which accounts for four of the facilities listed below.
