Moore Place

Moore Place offers permanent supportive housing. Moore Place is a “housing first” facility which means there are no barriers to entry and residents who have mental health issues or substance abuse issues are not required to change their behavior to live at Moore Place. However, Moore Place has counselors and clinicians to assist those residents who want to work on their issues.

There is also not a work requirement. The apartments there are subsidized through a voucher supplied by Inlivian. Residents with income pay a portion of their rent up to 30% of their income. This is the street side of Moore Place.

Residents do not have to be clean/sober/on their mental health meds to stay here. They ask the residents to behave appropriately and not to engage in illegal activities on the property, including illegal drug use. They are very strict when it comes to drug activies such as buying and selling on the property. These activities can result in an eviction. Access/intake into Moore Place is done through the county’s Coordinated Entry Program. See our Coordinated Entry pages to see how that works.

Only the most vulnerable applicants are offered a spot here. That means the person must have a substance abuse or mental illness problem or be in very poor physical condition. And they must have a history of chronic homelessness.

To get into Moore Place, make sure you stay by a phone in case the Coordinated Entry folks call you. You need to be “findable.”
