Crittendon provides several different services for young women only. Two out of their three residential programs are for youth in Foster Care; they work with all Department of Social Services Counties across NC (more about that later) They have a gated and secure location near the airport.
They have three primary programs; a Maternity Program, a program called Sarah’s House for young moms and their babies and Legacy Hall for young girls/women aged 16~21 in foster care. Really all of these programs have the potential to prevent homelessness.
Their Maternity Program offers these services to pregnant women of any age:
•Individual case management
•Access to prenatal and health care
•Trauma-informed therapy
•Substance use disorder prevention and education
•Birthing and parenting classes
•Workforce readiness and financial literacy classes
•Healthy relationship and self-empowerment classes
•Connections to community resources
•Support finding affordable, stable housing
Their Sarah’s House program is for young moms and their babies who are in Foster Care. They provide these services:
•Counseling
•Connections to community resources
•Access to health care
•Trauma-informed therapy
•Childcare
•Hands-on parenting classes
•High school, GED and college support
•Workforce readiness and financial literacy classes
•Independent living skills
•Healthy relationship and self-empowerment classes
Their Legacy Hall program provides independent living for women 16~21 in Foster Care. They provide these services:
•Counseling
•Connections to community resources
•Access to health care
•Trauma-informed therapy
•Healthy coping skills
•High school, GED and college support
•Workforce readiness and financial Iiteracy classes
•Independent living skills
•Healthy relationship and self-empowerment classes
If you or your case manager want to get you into these programs, you will need to push the court overseeing your case. They will need to understand why this is a good use of the state’s funds and how it will help you or your client break free of homelessness.

Here is the description of the NC Foster 18~21 year old program. A lot of foster kids coming out of foster care at 18 become homeless. This program is designed to minimize that problem. NC Foster Care 18~21
