Catholic Charities

The Catholic Charities program of the Diocese of Charlotte has two primary programs to help the homeless population; a Food Pantry and mental health counseling and case management via trained social workers. They have been aiding the needy in Charlotte for 75 years. They are located at 1123 S. Church St in the big white Catholic Diocese headquarters. The entrance is on the back of the building facing away from downtown. Refer to our Food Pantry list for the latest pickup information.

As you can see from this picture, CCdoc has two entrances. The small one on the left is for their food pantry and the one on the right is the entrance for the main receptionist. The mental health counseling and case management is done strictly by referral and appointment. They provide wrap-around services via several licensed Social Workers in their office. Most referrals can come from Coordinated Entry workers or one of a number of parish priests. Without an appointment you will not be allowed upstairs to see anyone.

If you’re a vet, there may be one way to self-refer…
