There’s a small vocational training program on the Northwest Side that has the potential to be a lifesaver in many ways. Their focus is on 16 ~ 24 year olds. Their purpose is to help young adults avoid or escape homelessness by providing job skills training, work-life skills training and a small stipend all at the same time. See their flyer below:

This is one of their three area training centers for vocational training; the one on Beatties Ford Rd. They have a 6 month vocational training program that graduates about 100 students in various trades every year. In addition, they have a 3~4 year long apprenticeship program that results in full certification (and likely great employment).
