 NC211.org is a state-wide service that you can call 24/7. Just dial 211. The good news is that there is someone for you to talk with any time of day or night.  But keep in mind that they are not in Charlotte. Their goal is similar to this website. They want to help you find the right resource for short-term or long term shelter. The 2-1-1 call specialists direct literally homeless persons to designated CE sites and/or their phone numbers. These sites
include: 

• Salvation Army Center of Hope Shelter for Women and Children 

• Roof Above Men’s Shelter of Charlotte (1210 N.Tryon location) 

• Roof Above Day Services Center (945 N. College) (basic services, soup kitchen, Room in the Inn)

• Mecklenburg County, Veterans Services Office (veterans only) 

• Davidson Housing Coalition (located in the northern part of the County)
